Proclamation of Third Reich

Post by JLEES » 25 Oct 2015, 15:13

Hello,
Although the term Third Reich is generally applied to Germany after Hitler's appointment as Chancellor, on January 30, 1933, I believe the Nazis didn't officially say it existed until sometime afterwards. Does anyone know when it was officially proclaimed? Thanks

Never, I think.
Terms Deutsches Reich and Großdeutsches Reich were used officially.

Das Dritte Reich was a title of 1923 book.

After the President Hindenburg's death, on August 2, 1934.
When Fuhrer took so-called "double role" as the chancellor and the president of the new German Reich.
