Wewelsburg pictures
Thinking about starting this since I couldn't find a similar topic of this type...
Can we make this topic a brief collection of Wewelsburg Castle pictures? I have really few myself, and I'd like to see what fellow members have... it would be nice to post them with a brief description

Re: Wewelsburg pictures
Wonderful photos -- thanks so much for sharing this unbelievable place with us! And for those who are not aware of it, there is an excellent book on this subject: "Heinrich Himmler's Camelot: Pictorial/Documentary; The Wewelsburg Ideological Center of the SS, 1934-1945," by Stephen Cook and Stuart Russell, published by Kressmann-Backmeyer Publishing LLC, 1999. While most of the photos in this 250-page glossy coffee-table volume are b/w, there is also a brief color section. Some of the maps and schematics shown here are also in the book, which appears to be widely available through out-of-print booksellers. Cheers,
Br. James

Wow, I'm astonished by the quantity and the quality of the material on this topic!!
James, I'll see if I can find the book you brought up on Amazon, because I'm getting really interested on the topic, and I'm planning a trip there for mid-December I bet it will be wonderful to see such a historical and mistical place in winter

Good luck, Herr Oberst -- I saw many copies of this book available on my out-of-print service, though I didn't check Amazon. Hope you have no trouble finding a copy...I know you'll enjoy it when you receive it!
