In a time-life History of World War II was a picture of polish man and German woman displayed in public square....I think his penalty was death while she had her hair cut and probably be sent to a KZ camp

That happened because of the Polish decrees, not the Nuremberg Laws.

"Rassenschande" was the common german designation back then.

Look at the section "Strafurteile" in the german Wiki.

Re: What was the punishment according to the Nuremberg Laws for race defilement?
I found this photo of a lady, with a cardboard sign around her neck, it says:
"I am expelled from the Volksgemeinschaft!"
The photo makes me sick, everytime looking at just this one photo.

The punishment for sexual relations between Germans and Polish workers during WW2 had nothing to do with the Nuremberg Laws.Hans1906 wrote: ↑14 Jun 2021 12:53I found this photo of a lady, with a cardboard sign around her neck, it says:

was the question in this topic, so what is wrong with the above photo of the lady, who sat in a pillory and was ostracized at the time. What was the punishment according to the Nuremberg Laws for race defilement?
You should be aware that the lady later ended up in a labor camp, or even a concentration camp, very sure.
Pea counting makes no sense, such a thing was possible everywhere in Germany before 1945.
There are hundreds of such photos, in the media libraries, also with a google image search...

Re: What was the punishment according to the Nuremberg Laws for race defilement?
Because the thread is about the punishment for Rassenschande by the Nuremberg Laws, that is, the punishment for sexual relations between Germans and Jews.
I don’t think there are any cases of any Germans or Gypsies being persecuted and/or prosecuted for having sexual relations with each other.
Yes... I know that. You should be aware that the lady later ended up in a labor camp, or even a concentration camp, very sure.
Strangely enough, despite the Nazis’ virulent anti-semitism, the Nuremberg Laws did not allow the death penalty for Jews who had sexual relations with Germans, but the Polish decrees and the decrees for other Eastern European workers allowed the death penalty for the worker who had sexual relations with a German woman.

The former poster was signed "Fidus" in the upper right corner:
Hugo Reinhold Karl Johann Höppener ("Fidus") https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fidus
George, you should please be even rudimentarily clear what you are setting here, I hope so...

* Quickly posting some propaganda is always easy, but the story behind it, that was and is the "kick".
In 1932, Fidus joined the NSDAP after contacts with Joseph Goebbels. As late as 1925, he had opposed the utopia of a "pure race" in his essay Den Rasse-Raßlern. According to this, the Germans were historically a mixed people, and it was only the spiritual "sundowness" of the human being that mattered, not racial characteristics. Despite hopes in the new state leadership, despite pleading letters to Hitler and Goebbels to financially support his temple art, he was largely rejected by the new rulers. The SS newspaper Das Schwarze Korps mentioned him in 1936 as a kitcher of Nordic art. His application for the introduction of the Neugermanic script he developed was brusquely rejected in 1936. A planned Nuremberg art exhibition for the 1936 Reich Party Congress fell through because Hitler was so "disgusted" at the sight of monumental portraits he had already encountered that he ordered all works to be sent back.
In 1937, Fidus' portfolios were confiscated and the sale of Fidus prints was banned. Hitler also had the distribution of his portrait painted by Fidus on postcards banned. Demoralized, Fidus criticized the National Socialist cultural officials as "cultural bonzes" and "barbarians." Stylistically, he remained true to his unconventional "soft art nouveau" style, which was very atypical at the time. On the occasion of his 75th birthday in 1943, he was made an honorary professor despite his distance from the National Socialist regime.[15]

You’re still missing the point - the punishment against Germans and Poles who engaged in sexual relations during the war had nothing to do with the Nuremberg Laws.

Re: What was the punishment according to the Nuremberg Laws for race defilement?
Individual Nazis advocated for stronger penalties to be carried out against Jewish Germans who had sexual relations with non-Jewish Germans, but the law only allowed for short periods in concentration camps and special courts had to be established to allow the death penalty to be carried out against those individual Jewish Germans who were found guilty of Rassenschande (race defilement) by having sexual intercourse with non-Jewish Germans.Linkagain wrote: ↑09 Dec 2021 03:57related link

Some Nazis even claimed that the Nuremberg Laws would help both Jews and non-Jews.
