Mein Kampf's reviews

Post by DavidFrankenberg » 18 Apr 2021 16:38

as every published book Mein Kampf was reviewed in many journals in Germany when it came out in 1923.

Is it possible to read online some of these reviews ?

I know the Frankfurter Zeitung wrote a negative review. It published it the 11 november of 1925 and said that "his ideas came from a disturbed mind". The Neue Zürcher Zeitung said that Hitler was "an agitator that no longer unserstands the current world".
I also know that the Miesbacher Anzeiger wrote a negative review despite the journal was antisemitic and nationalist.

Do you know more reviews ? Were any of them positive ?

All I know is that "Mein Kampf" made Hitler a very rich man, and the more amazing if the book reviews were all or mostly negative!

Timothy W. Ryback's "Hitler's Private Library" quotes some contemporary reviews (in English) on pages 76-77 and 70. None of the reviews is positive.
