What exactly Gneisenau said at the very end of "Kolberg" (1945)

I could find two books/articles purporting to provide bits of the dialogs in "Kolberg" (1945) between Gneisenau and Frederich Wilhelm III, such as https://core.ac.uk/download/pdf/14510494.pdf. I'm interested in the very last lines uttered by Gneisennau, supposedly as follows, according to these articles:

GNEISENAU: 1813. Im Jahre der Freiheit. Aus Asche und Trümmern wird sich ein Phönix erheben – ein neues Reich!

However, in the actual film, it appears Gneisenau says something slightly different,

more along the lines of:
GNEISENAU: 1813. Im Jahre der Freiheit. Aus Asche und Trümmern wird sich ein Phönix - ein neues Volk(e)? ??? (Is this a new sentence, separate from "ein Phönix"?) – ein neues Reich!

Could anyone solve the puzzle for me?

Hi Panzerspitze,

The actor says:

aus Asche und Trümmern wird sich wie ein Phoenix ein neues Volk erheben, ein neues Reich.

Best regards

Vielen Dank! Strangely, "erheben" sounds like "gehin" to me.

"Das Volk steht auf, der Sturm bricht los!" / "The people stand up, the storm breaks loose!"

Theodor Körner (Schriftsteller) https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theodor_K ... ftsteller)

Likewise in some speeches to members of the "Deutscher Volkssturm" in 1945.

"Volk ans Gewehr! / People to the gun!"
Was another slogan to rush tens of thousands of children, young people and the elderly to a senseless death still in 1945.

P.S. By today's standards terrible propaganda, but already in the year 1943, Goebbels in his speech in the "Sportpalast" in Berlin cheered all this, in the most disgusting way.
The paradise of the successful lends itself perfectly to a hell for the unsuccessful. (Bertold Brecht on Hollywood)
