Super Train Railway Dresden-Rome

Hi there,

Today in the german BILD Newspaper was a short story with pic, that Hitler had wanted a kind of superfast Train that would travel from Dresden to Rome in 7 or 8 hours. I could not find specific info on this one.
Does somebody know about that project that seems to never have been started?

I'm wondering, why Dresden and not Berlin, as Berlin-Rome, at least to me as Noob makes much more sence ...
