I was born just ten years after the war ended and as such, the war years have never seemed all that far away. Any of us in the baby-boomer generation grew up having family members or knowing individuals who had fought in the war. I started my flying career working with men who had flown Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancasters, etc. But to think it is now a century ago that Hitler made his first foray to sieze power…..
