Our friend N.C. Wyeth is "emoting" because I did just that for several years, while I was living in Germany (he and his wife were subjected to a couple of these tours).
But I moved back to the States last year, so no more regular Obersalzberg tours for me. Well, I guess it could be done again, but for me, probably not before 2019.

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
Here is a link from the net I just came across. It shows some very nice images from the "Landmarkscout" teams website of the Obersalzberg area as it appears today. This site also shows many other very interesting WWII locations. It's well done, well written and well presented.
Well worth a look-see in my opinion:

Something interesting that I saw online today ...
Michigan WWII vets who seized Hitler's Eagle's Nest to be on History Channel
http://www.mlive.com/news/bay-city/inde ... viewe.html
I look forward to seeing this show on the History Channel. If anyone learns what the title will be and/or when it will be shown, please post the info here. (I hope they get the details right, which this article doesn't, but we all know History Channel shows ...)

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
I certainly agree with Geoff -- I'd very much like to see this History Channel episode, as well! First-hand information and interviews are very special, and we know that we lose a few of these great characters every day, sadly. I look forward to seeing the details of this episode, too.

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
Welcome to AHF, AdolfJesus!
I can't say whether or not that photo was taken in the Berghof, but that's definitely either Eva or her sister Gretl ... I lean toward Gretl, but those two can sometimes be hard to tell apart if they aren't both in the photo.
