This photo from facebook captions the woman seen here with Wisch, Wünsche, Dietrich and Witt at the Berghof as Eva Braun. I am presuming this was taken in February 44 when Wisch was awarded the 'Oakleaves' from Hitler personally. I'm not so sure it is Braun but looking for those more familiar with her to verify either way.

There are also numerous references elsewhere to this building which all seem to have been taken from the same unreferenced source.

Thanks, Max! Here is the house in question ... the "Little Gӧring House" at Hochkreuth near Bayrischzell in southern Bavaria. This is hardly a hunting lodge! This was the small house where Hermann and Carin lived in 1921. The back of the card says - "Gӧringhӓuschen in Hochkreuth über Bayrischzell" (no date).

I have read that this cabin still exists, or did at some recent date anyway, but I never had the time to search for it. At any rate, it's obvious this is not the house shown in the film.

This is one of several photos taken on the same occasion, appearing in EB's photos albums in the U.S. National Archives. I think this is the only one showing Eva. I think that's Eva, but I'm not 100% certain. It could be Gretl, but I think it's Eva.

If it still stands I would suspect it is one of the structures on this farm/pension:

I ran across a couple of nice pics I took at the Obersalsberg around 1979. Here is the first one.

I recently get this postcard.
I never notice before, the Hotel Turken had a terrace, and with such large pole with flag

Wonderful period material here -- exciting to see! That house in Hochkreuth where Hermann and Carin supposedly stayed back in the 1920s certainly fell onto hard times in the subsequent years, didn't it?!

Is the house that DaveL111 posted two photos of yesterday supposed to have been Göring Hugel as it looked in 1979? And I agree with Ihoyos; I didn't know that the Türken had a wide terrace overlooking Haus Wachenfeld...I'll bet they had to remove that terrace when the Berghof was build -- security would probably have been compromised with a terrace right there!

Great stuff here -- many thanks for sharing it with us!

Somehow I must have missed or forgotten some things.

http://thisiszionism.blogspot.ca/2008/1 ... ewish.html
'And Bormann, I didn't like him at all. He was a dirty pig.' By the end of 1934, the house was surrounded by minefields and SS checkpoints. Rosa said. 'I felt like a prisoner instead of an employee.'
Well aware of the checkpoints but the minefields?

Considering all the tourists and hikers I wonder if this could be correct?

Thanks for posting the link!
I'm glad they showed the cover. That's a postwar album of photos by Heinrich Hoffman and Ernst Baumann (also printed as postcards), published as souvenirs for visiting Allied soldiers. It's not particularly rare - I've seen this same version on US eBay. I have a copy with a different cover, but same contents. I paid MUCH less than 500 pounds for it.
