Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
There was a LOT of renovation and extension work done to the eastern wing of the Berghof following it's creation in 1935/36, and much of that work can be seen in the latest photos above. The eastern wing was originally fairly short, as we see in the architectural plan in note #6747; it's central feature was the dining room with it's bay window. This wing originally included two floors above-ground, as seen in note #6748 and in the upper photo in note #6750, with a doorway and one window on the ground level and two windows on the floor above, on the end face. But the architectural drawing of the building's exterior in note #6746 shows the eastern wing as significantly extended in length, though still only two floors above-ground. Then apparently the hillside was excavated and the basement/foundation level exposed, with a new entranceway and one window added to the basement level and a driveway/accessway added to the end of the eastern wing, as seen in note #6749 and the lower photo in note #6750. Those photos also show a balcony added to the two upper windows now located on the top floor.
Also something which I hadn't noticed before was the addition of a balcony on the top floor of the main section of the building, facing southward. Very interesting photos indeed!

Hello. I can't find any photos of tehouse interior. Found only one online with Hitler and guests in round part. Are there any more?

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
I am pretty sure i asked this before but my old memory isn't what it was lol
They did a movie at the ruins I think in the 50s in winter so you see some of the inside which is fascinating to me
however, there seems to be no real pics from 45 til they blew it up of real explorers inside the house and you think there would have been
we see the picture room of course, but what about pictures of Hitlers BR or Eva's upstairs? or the other rooms in the house ? has anyone ever seen any comprehensive pics inside?
come to think if it, before the ruins i have seen i think eva's bedroom or when they got there? but is there any pics of Hitlers rooms at all?
was the floor which had hitlers and eva's bedrooms accessible after the bombing and fire or had it collapsed in?
thanks much for any info!

I believe there may be a picture of a GI in AH's office. And i remember seeing a photo of Eisenhauer when he visited the ruins, that had what appeared to me as the upper balcony arches behind him. Maybe that was Eagles nest?
Sorry can't reference them or post them better. Right now im working from my phone where I am inept at such things.

Hello, I wanted to show what I once built. Made some Adolf Hitler Berghof patio chairs. And one is still available. Anyone interested is welcome to get in touch. The chairs were originally made according to blueprints.

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
I just found this on YouTube, I can't remember seeing this before on this thread, but I thought I'd post it here. The Berghof in 1947 in color.
Interesting!

The porcelain shown in the second link is close, but not quite right. Here is the correct pattern, plus one or two photos of teehaus guests.Max wrote: ↑19 Aug 2023 15:53http://www.brennpunkt-zeitgeschichte.de ... mentation/
