I wonder if anyone could direct me to photos of the interior of Wewelsburg as it was during the Third Reich.

Thanks!

Greetings M. Foster,
Here is a list of links to some internet sites about the Wewelsburg.
http://www.ns-gedenkstaetten.de/nrw/de/ ... g/thema_3/
http://worldzone.net/history/vonweyersb ... lsburg.htm

Pictures of the interior of the castle during the Third Reich period are hard to find. Sincerely, J.M.

Hello again,
The second link does not work correctly. It should be http://worldzone.net/history/vonweyersb ... lsburg.htm
This site shows images of all of the NSDAP Ordensburg castles. Sincerely, J.M.

Thank, JM, much appreciated. I am having difficulty getting hold of the book in the UK; it seems to be rather rare.

I wonder if you (or anyone else) has seen a plan of the castle, particularly of the rooms as used during Himmler's time.

Greetings M. Foster,
Glad I could help out. Their is a plan of the castle on the Kreismuseum Wewelsburg site. Look under Virtueller Rundgang. It seems to be very well made. However this does not show the layout during the time of the SS. It just shows you the rooms and the basic layout. Perhaps if you emailed the musuem site they might be able to help you? They appear to have a large selection of books in the Liturature und Medien.
Their is a book called Wewelsburg 1933 bis 1945 which is the official history of the castle under SS administration.

I played Medal of Honor Underground for Playstation. In one of the missions you must attack Wewelsburg castle. If you have the chance play this game, the castle is very well created

I'll post some for you if you'd like.
BTW - I know a guy working on a pretty big render of the place... I haven't seen it yet, but it sounds good.
