Yes. That was the state funeral at the Tannenberg memorial for Luftwaffe Generaloberst Günther Korten, 3 August 1944. Any idea who that Frau was on the deck of the U-boat at the end of the Die Deutsche Wochenschau newsreel?

Here is a little article about the oppening of the Tannenberg Denkmal, also there is a letter from the ex-Kaiser Wilhelm II. addressed to von Hindenburg, a very curious letter.

Nice Pictures Pofoka.
When I visited the site in June 2012 it was heavily overgrown by grass and I couldn't find all the ruins I was looking for. Therefore I would like to ask you for your permission to use the picture of the vault at my own webpage.
