Book Identification - Help Required

#1

Post by Shaun Knapp » 30 Jul 2004, 11:16

Just got back from a few days in Berlin where I picked up a paperback book entitled ‘Lachendes Feldgrau’ by Hans Rieball, Hans Reimann and Manfred Schmidt. It was published in Bremen in 1941, front cover is full colour cartoon sketch of two German soldiers. It appears to be satirical in theme and includes cartoon drawings of the German army. Has anyone any idea what its all about? Is it a comedy book aimed at German soldiers? Were the authors comedians of the time?

Any help would be welcomed.

Hi,

I would like to see a scan of some of the cartoons with captions. Possible?

Hans
