Did the Party headquarters in Munich survive the war? Where is/was it located?

Both Party Houses survived the war with only slight damages.. They are located at the intersection of Arcis-Strasse and Brienner-Strasse on the Koenigsplatz. One of the Houses (perhaps the expression "Palace" would be better!) served as the American Library and as a student in Munich I visited there frequently, because the Technical University was just adjacent at the intersection Arcis-Strasse - Gabelsberger-Strasse. The buildings inside were very elaborate with huge staircases done in brown marble, just build for representation. On the Koenigsplatz, just in the vicinity, there were also the two "Ehrentempel" which contained the remains of the sixteen SA-victims who were shot by the Bavarian State-Police at the "Feldherrnhalle" during the failed Hitler-Coup on November 9, 1923. It was a very solemn site, eight Bronze sarcophages in the open crypt of each temple, and a double SS-Honor guard with rifles. All visitors had to be silent and remove their hats. And children had to be kept by the hands! These Temples were removed by the Bavarian State, because nobody could come up with a reasonable proposal for reconstruction and usage. Both party houses are still existing and occupied as offices.

Reply Braune Haus vs. Fuehrerbau

Um, this isn't quite accurate ...

The Fuehrerbau and its twin administration building on the Koenigsplatz are still there, and still in use, as Goggi says.

However, the Braune Haus was a separate building, sort of behind the Fuehrerbau and the Ehrentempel on that side. It was badly damaged by bombs during the war, and the ruins were demolished shortly afterwards.

The Braune Haus was where the Blutfahne was kept, and it is rumored the flag was destroyed in the bombing, but no-one seems to know for sure.
