"Only once, that I recall seeing him wearing his SS uniform. "
- Of course, i'm not talking about the SS uniform with black tunic but i'm talking to the armband?
On the early days of the SS, Himmler wore the 3 white stripes armband on several pictures (with the brown shirt), this is the reason why i doubt on this man shown on the pic.
Any other pics of this events with Himmler would be welcome.

"Here is a small shot of Himmler wearing his standard brownshirt at the annual march."
- no, sorry but Himmler is wearing his early SS uniform, not the SA one (the tie and breeches are Blacks, not brown as wore by the SA. Of course, the shirt is standard but it is defenetly not the SA uniform).

Every photo I have ever seen of Himmler marching in the Annual ceremony he is wearing the standard armband -- no stripes at all. I stand corrected as far as the black tie is concerned and yes I was talking about the full SS uniform above. However, at every other ceremony Himmler always wore his brownshirt with black tie and a standard red armband. I have note doubt in my mind that this is Himmler in the color photo from above.

I've got some pics of Himmler (available on several books as for example the Lumsden's book "Allgemeine-SS") with his 3 white stripes armband but unfortunately, i can't share this evidence as i have no scanners.
If someone could be post it, it would be very great.
Thanks in advance.

just for info (Source : Wikipedia.com) :
1925–1929
Early SS armband
The earliest SS ranks were titles with no recognizable insignia. By 1929, a system of white stripes, centered on an armband, denoted SS rank with the first established SS ranks listed below:
Reichsführer (Reich Leader) Three Stripes
Oberführer (Senior Leader) Two Stripes
Staffelführer (Squadron Leader) One Stripe
Mann (Trooper) No Stripes

Re: Id Alte Kämpfer
I believe it is Gauleiter Adolf Wagner between Weber and Schultze.
