Hi Laurens,
you have confirmed my own assumption - was raised from your post of 25.12.2008, 21:50 and
referring to forum http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=34044 - see below:
Fuchs and Roehm.jpg
HThe right spelling is Röhm !! not Roehm

Your confirmation that the man between Fritz von Krausser and Robert Bergmann really is Johann Baptist "Hans" Fuchs is showing me that my old eyes are not so bad. With your answer you have also cleared my question (see http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 5&t=166242) in respect of the pic in Bruce Campbell´s book.
Thanks and Regards,
Manfred

PS.: Hi Igor,
in 2nd pic is on left side Curt von Ulrich also - but where you see here Franz Xaver Schwarz? Nevertheless also thanks for your reply.

I know that this Thuringia Gau Badge is listed as a "Traditionsgauabzeichen" in Doehle "Auszeichnungen des Dritten Reiches" (edition 1943). This mean that this badge could be wear at the uniform during the Third Reich period. But I'm not sure if there was a similar badge for the meeting in June 1933. So it is difficult to say, if this badge is a "Traditionsgauabzeichen" or the badge for the meeting in June 1933.

Look at this page of SS ID Quiz:
http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 2&start=30
and see the photo of Hitler, von Eberstein and Hennicke in the post of goofy at 06.06.2007and also the explicit remark in post of Michael Miller at same day 21:50 and your question will be clarified

Hi Laurens & Manfred,
I'm not sure anyone is paying attention to this old thread now.
However, in the German National Library in Leipzig, there is a copy of a commemorative photo album of this June 18th 1933 event that was published by the Thüringen SA .
https://d-nb.info/361015488

In addition to photos of the rally, it includes photographs of individual officers of the SA Thüringen Group, including this one of Oberführer Fred Helwig (Stabführer der Gruppe Thüringen).

To me he looks more like the man at the right of the picture than the older man standing behind Schneidhuber and von Fichte.
(Of course it is also possible that neither man is Helwig.)

Regards,
Bertie

I'd say the SA-Oberf. is definitely Helwig, and your photo seems to confirm it. Behind Sauckel is Wilhelm Brückner.

Best wishes,

Sorry Mike,
Are you saying that the picture from the SA Thüringen book confirms that these are pictures of the same man?

Hitler accompanies Hungarian Prime Minister Gyula Gömbös de Jákfa (far left) on a walking tour of Erfurt 18th June 1933.
Werner von Fichte to the right of Hitler and the tall figure of Wilhelm Brückner at the far right.

Can anyone name the others in the photo?

Curt von Ulrich third from left.

And yes, I believe the picture from the SA Thüringen book confirms that it is Helwig in the group photo with Röhm, Schneidhuber, Sauckel, et al.

Best wishes,
