Hello Mike,
I am pretty sure it is not Leitgen in the picture and most likely it is no one else but Veesenmayer.
Best regards,

Re: Friedrich W. Rainer - Gauleiter
Friedrich Rainer, after his arrest, identified Globocnik on 31.5.1945 in Paternion. Next to him H.Höfle. Is it Lerch on the right?

Re: Friedrich W. Rainer - Gauleiter
Former gauleiter Friedrich Rainer said on his trial in Ljubljana after the war, that he saw former soldiers of Brandenburg division in Austria helping the British to catch Nazis. They were working even as workers on farms and making the secret job for the British he claimed. One of their former officiers tried to lure him in to the trap but he did not buy it. Yet he said that maybe they gave the informations to the British so that he was arrested and later extradited.
