Yes. Wellington was born in Ireland and was of the Anglo-Irish nobility. He hated that people referred to him as an Irishman.

LOL, I'm wondering, Shmrock Island = stable ? :o

I hope the association was involuntary, I do like the Irish and Ireland a lot!
