Ribbentrop photographs
Here are a few interesting photographs of Joachim von Ribbentrop which show his first and last moments in the public spotlight during the Third Reich era:
Ribbentrop after the conclusion of the Anglo-German Naval Treaty in London (June 18, 1935) - Bildarchiv
Ribbentrop delivers the Foreign Ministry’s declaration of war to the Soviet Union (June 22, 1941) - Bildarchiv
Are their any other notable personalities in the second photograph? I'm surprised Goebbels didn't steal Ribbentrop's thunder by broadcasting the news himself.
Kind regards.

The truth is that you're a quiet, sensitive type, but if I'm prepared to take a chance I might just get to know the inner you: witty, adventurous, passionate, loving, loyal, a little bit crazy, a little bit bad, but, hey, don't us girls just love that?

In the lower picture, the tall, balding, dark haired man next to and right of Canaris I think is the Fascist Pavolini, who later served as a minister in Mussolini's ill-fated "Salo Republic" (1943-1945).

Re: Ribbentrop photographs
Pavel,
The first of your posted photos is a fake. It has the SS-O'Gruf. collar patches added. I believe that he was wearing diplomatic / ministry uniform in the original.
On the right in the last photo is PC Harry Monck of "A" Division Metropolitan Police. (Only kidding )
Max.

Don´t you think it´s just one of those 1936 or 37 portrait photos of him with ´42 collar patches? I mean, is it possible to fake the entire uniform? As you can see, black SS and all versions of Diplomatic uniforms were completely different.Max Williams wrote: The first of your posted photos is a fake. It has the SS-O'Gruf. collar patches added. Re: Ribbentrop photographs
I'm not suggesting the entire uniform is faked! I just seem to remember that this particular pose was taken with him in the navy blue ministerial uniform which can be mistaken for black in photos. It might well be that he is wearing black SS uniform, but it still does not change the fact that the photo is faked by adding SS-O'Gruf. rank insignia, i.e. it's not a photo of SS-O'Gruf. von Ribbentrop as captioned. It might be a photo of SS-Brig. or SS-Gruf. von Ribbentrop.pavel michalek wrote:Don´t you think it´s just one of those 1936 or 37 portrait photos of him with ´42 collar patches? Re: Ribbentrop photographs
I've just noticed the epaulete on his right shoulder which (correct me if I'm wrong) did not appear on the dark blue diplomatic/ministerial uniform. So it appears to be a photo of him faked to show him in a higher rank. Come to think of it, I can't remember seeing him in post-42 SS rank insignia in any real photos.
