Kutschera was dismissed from Gauleiter post along with the HSSPF Alfred Rodenbucher at the insistance of Gauleiters Franz Hofer and Dr Siegfried Uiberreither backed by Adolf Wagner for plotting to absorb Gau Salzburg into his own Gau. He was succeeded by Dr Friedrich Rainer on the 18.11.1941. Jung committed suicuide in Prague-Pankraz prison 11.12 45 to avoid trial

Phil,
That is an interesting bit of info on Kutschera. I did not know about his attempt to take Salzburg into his own craddle until now. I found that story in the "Allgemeine SS" book after I saw your Post. Also, thanks for the Jung info!!!

Much Appreciated,

- I have seen in a sorurce that Karl Kaufmann was dismissed from all Party appointments in 1930 for accusations that he had embezzled Party funds, blackmailed political opponents and worn an Iron Cross that had never been awarded to him. Can anyone tell me if these statements are absolutely true ? The source also states that he was reinstated in 1933. I was under the impression that Kaufmann served as the Gauleiter of Hamburg from (April 15,1929-May 1945). So, if he was dismissed then who served as the Gauleiter of Hamburg from (1930-1933) ? Also, can someone verify that my list below is correct ?

Gauleiter of Hamburg- (My list)
-(1925-1926)- Josef Klant
-(1926-1928)- Albert Krebs
-(September 3,1928-April 14,1929)- Heinrich Lohse
-(April 15,1929-May 1945)- Karl Kaufmann

Phil and Transpspeer,
Is it Josef Klant or Josef Kant ? Also, is the Kaufmann dismissal correct ?

-Does anyone know why Hitler suspended Josef Wagner from all his Posts in 1940 and ultimately expelled him from the NSDAP in November 1941? It must have been bad because Wagner was reinstated by Walther Buch and 6 other Gauleiters, but Hitler refused the courts decision.

-Does anyone know the reason why Hermann Fobke was dismissed from all his Party posts on June 2,1939 ? (He was dismissed by the NSDAP court)
