Re: Gauleiters
Perhaps HJ-Oberbannführer Otto Weber (Gebiet 33, Tirol-Vorarlberg) at left.
Here are some earlier photos of him from https://arge-ns-zeit.musikland-tirol.at ... ktion.html.
Best wishes,
~ Mike

Re: Gauleiters
I always wonder Why? Never executed Koch. The theory about the Amber room , looks no credible to me. In fact after years and years he never said a word about=t the amber room, so why ? They did no hang this guy? Many other low ranks in former East Prusia were executed but the chief not ?

Re: Gauleiters
Thanks, Michael,
I think your book answers many questions, and will finally fill some gaps...
I have great respect for such work, I like to take my hat off to it.
The memories local here, especially about Carl Röver, are still present here, in the memories of only a few people, maybe later, I will find the time to write a few lines about it, also some photos not yet known here...
Good luck for your book!
Hans (Ex 2903 Bad Zwischenahn)

Re: Gauleiters
Thanks Michael,
The gaps are getting bigger and bigger, and probably all the memories will be gone in just a few years.
Even my own memories, about Röver's standard, which a friend's father stole from the official car at the time, will no longer be present.
Small, and simple memories, and one day all that is just gone.
The old gentleman recalled that at that time, he had to sweep the street for weeks for this theft, in his village.
In later years his nickname was "Pop," even in old age a strict anti-Nazi, a socialist, certainly a communist in spirit.
Oha, the old times...
Hans

Re: Gauleiter Ringhausen
Gauleiter Ringhausen was missed in this thread. He passed away in Feb 1941.
There are many images on the internet of him and this image was scanned from one Ringhausen gave to one of his Gau helpers for the work they'd done to put on their Gau Day. The back of the image has a typed message and is personally signed by him.
More info on him:
After attending the teacher training college in Friedberg from 1896 to 1899, he worked in the Hessian school service. In 1909 he was a teacher in Offenbach. In 1919 he became a member of the Deutschvölkischer Schutz- und Trutzbund . [1]
In 1923 and again in 1925 after the party ban was lifted , he joined the NSDAP ( membership number 8.993). On March 1, 1927 he was appointed Gauleiter of the new Gau Hessen (Upper Hesse, Rheinhessen and Starkenburg). On January 9, 1931, he was given leave of absence from this activity.
As early as 1930 he was elected as a member of the Reichstag for constituency 33 (Hessen-Darmstadt).
In November 1935 he was a Reich speaker and was appointed Ministerialrat. He was also head of Department II of the Hessian State Ministry. In the SA he was promoted to Standartenführer in 1938.
