Eugen Hadamovsky was killed in action 13.03.1945 on the Eastern Front (after differences with Goebbels, he was pushed out and became a Panzeroffizier der Wehrmacht in 1943).

John P. Moore's "Führerliste der Waffen-SS" has him KIA on 01.03.1945 in Miastkò (Rummelsburg, Poland), not 13.03.1945 as Ernst Klee states (see my post above).

Chris44,
-Just wanted to say thanks for sharing the info!!! Also, that is a really good picture of Hadamovsky!!! He kind of looks like the old actor that played Dracula in that picture. I believe the name is Bela Lugosi (not for sure if spelling is correct) or even a young portrait of Christopher Price, he too made a living out of playing Dracula!!!

Does anyone know who - if any - suceeded Hadamovsky as Stabsleiter der Reichspropagandaleitung der NSDAP?

Cheers

Not that it's too relevant, but that is Christopher Lee, I believe.

John,
-You are most certainly correct!!! I must have had a hybrid of Vincent Price and Christopher Lee on my mind. Thanks for the belated correction!!!

-Did Hadamovsky die at Rummelsberg or at Holkewiese, Eastern Pomerania? Also, does anyone have the correct dates that Hadamovsky led Abt. III (Rundfunk) im RMVP. I know he headed the department for a short time while Berndt was doing military service. Would his title for this post have been Kommissarischer Leiter or was he an Official Leiter of the Abt. while Berndt was away?

Halfdan S.,
-I am not positive on this, but didn't Erich Fischer serve as Stabsleiter der RPL? It may have been before Hadamovsky though. I will try to dig up some info for this subject.
