Friedrich Schmidt can also be categorized as one of those with dual roles. His rank of Deputy Gauleiter outranked RHAL and he probably never wore the actual rank. He seems to have worn his deputy gauleiter uniform after his appointment into the Reichsleitung. He may have been given permission to continue to wear the uniform in the same manner as some honorary DG's.

-Are you sure that Walter Stang and Walther Schultze were Pre-War Reichshauptamtsleiter? Both men are listed as Reichsamtsleiter in their (1938 Reichstag bios). I know for a fact that Dr. Walther Schultze was appointed Reichsamtsleiter des DB on (July 24, 1935) from a transmission to the Reichsorganisationsleitung. Maybe both men are like Ritterbusch and Walkenhorst, Post War-Reichshauptamtsleiter. That is not to say that the 2 men couldn't have been promoted sometime after their (1938 bio) came out and before the war started, but I have found no evidence of it just yet!!! If you have evidence then please post it as I would be very interested in it. Keep up the good work!!! Thanks!!!

-I found another Pre-War Hauptamtsleiter!!!! In a transmission to the BfdÜ on (December 2, 1937) it was decided that since Karl Heinz Hederich was now Leiter der Abteilung VIII (Schrifttum) des RMfVuP that his position as Hauptamtsleiter in der Reichsleitung was to be entlassen (dismissed). Hederich would be officially dismissed as Leiter der Abteilung VIII des RMfVuP a year later on (December 24, 1938). So, I wonder if his Hauptamtsleiter rank in der Reichsleitung was immediately reinstated? Anyone know?

-I found another Pre-War Hauptamtsleiter!!!! The Reichsobmann der NSBO Walter Schuhmann also held the Hauptamtsleiter rank. His appointment date is unknown to me, but he is listed as Hauptamtsleiter in his (1938) Reichstag bio. He is not listed as Hauptamtsleiter in any of his other Reichstag bios. Anyone know his appt. date?

-In my personal notes I have Fritz Tittmann being promoted to Reichshauptamtsleiter in (September 1933). I do not have a source for the date, but he is listed as Reichshauptamtsleiter as early as (1936) in his Reichstag bio. Can anyone confirm the (September 1933) date for me?

-We do not have an appointment date for Richard Manderbach!!! However, I have a transmission from (May 16, 1935) that lists Manderbach as HAL (Stab StdF) Richard Manderbach. So, we now know that Manderbach had the Hauptamtsleiter rank as early as (May 16, 1935). If anyone can provide a better date then please do so!!!!

-I have found the Hauptamtsleiter promotion date for Max Frauendorfer!!!!!! (I think) I found a source that has Frauendorfer being appointed Hauptamtsleiter im Schulungsamt der NSDAP on (September 15, 1934), but I know for sure that Frauendorfer was appointed Kommissarischer Leiter der Hauptschulungsamt der NSDAP until 3 days later on (September 18, 1934). So, which date is correct for his HAL appointment? I guess we can say for sure that he was appointed in (September 1934). If anyone can clear this up then please do so!!!!

I confirm: Ruoff was listed as Reichshauptamtsleiter der NSDAP in 1938.
