Actually, the youngest son of SS-Ogruf. Friedrich Bernhard Karl Gustav Ulrich Erich Graf von der Schulenburg (born 22. November 1865, died 19. May 1939; second oldest son of Werner Graf von der Schulenburg [1832-1880] and his wife Mary Freiin von Maltzahn [1843-1900]; see http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friedrich_ ... chulenburg and http://home.comcast.net/~jcviser/akb/schulenburg.htm for biographical details) was Fritz-Dietlof Graf von der Schulenburg (born 5. September 1902 in London [where his father was serving as German military attache], hanged 10. August 1944 at Berlin-Plötzensee) - see http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritz-Diet ... chulenburg for biographical details. Friedrich Bernhard Graf von der Schulenburg had the following children with his wife Freda-Marie Gräfin von Arnim (1873-1939), whom he married on 21. July 1897:

Johann Albrecht (1898-1944), estate owner, Rittmeister
Wolf-Werner (1899-1944), SA-Brigadeführer, Oberstleutnant, Kdr. of Fallschirm-Jäger-Regiment 13
Adolf-Heinrich (1901-1940), SA-Obersturmführer
Fritz-Dietlof (1902-1944), Vizeoberpräsident of the preußischen Provinz Schlesien (under Josef Wagner)
Elisabeth (1903-2001), artist

(information from http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friedrich_ ... chulenburg , which also mentions another son, Wilhelm, but provides no dates of birth/death or other information)

The man in Phil's photo is the ex-Ambassador to the Soviet Union, Friedrich-Werner Erdmann Matthias Johann Bernhard Erich Graf von der Schulenburg (born 20. November 1875 in Kemberg, hanged 10. November 1944 at Berlin-Plötzensee). He was the son of Oberstleutnant Bernhard Graf von der Schulenburg (1839-1902) - see http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friedrich- ... chulenburg for details.

See also viewtopic.php?f=5&t=19769&p=169510 for some excellent biographical data on the two von der Schulenburgs of the German resistance.

Best wishes,
~ Mike
