I would recommend 'My Father's Keeper" by Stephan Lebert. The book looks at the lives of Wolf-Rudiger Hess, Martin Bormann junior, Gudrun Himmler, Edda Goring, Niklas and Norman Frank and the von Shirach brothers. It is an interesting read covering the fate of the families towards the very end of the war as well as presenting some very personal feelings held by the sons and daughters.

yarrowm: thanks for that information of Heider Heydrich. I posted a topic a while back wondering what became of him. Yes, you can see very similar physical traits in the eyes, ears and lips. Indeed uncannily similar.

Hello there
Why should it be uncanny that Heider looks a bit like his father..?? I'm guessing there is a zillion other parents out there who have kids and the first things they say is OOOh he looks like my/your mother/father/uncle/brother/insert name of relative here.
Seems pretty normal to me.
Also interested to know if Heider had died, I would have thought I would have seen an announcement about it since this forum seems to always know when someone of any connection to the 3rd R. period dies,

And, it would seem, of similarly questionable moral character to his father, to undertake a major project for a totalitarian state which continues to operate the world's largest slave labour camp system and punish dissidents with a zeal which would have done the Führer proud. Perhaps this choice of architect is a sign that the Chinese leadership have a (black) sense of humour...
