apreciate Opinions about this invitation Card
Recently some body paid $ 900 for this on ebay.
But in my opinion. The card is real. typical card pro form with empty spaces. filled depending the occasion.
but the type writing machine ( name and date) I have serious doubts about authenticity.
As far I know, by 1942 Der Furher und Kanzler Des Deuchen Reiches was already moved to Reich Chancellery in Vostrasse.
and by 1942 EK was Generalleutnant Polizei, and the name is writing with no rank at all.
but I can be wrong, so any opinion is apreciated.

The absence of any Fraktur bothers me...

Re: apreciate Opinions about this invitation Card
In my opinion, this piece is a fake. The omission of his title 'Dr' is a serious mistake, and if genuine would have been considered as discourteous, but the most glaring error is that Hitler was not in Berlin on his birthday in 1942. He was at the Wolfsschanze in East Prussia from March 17 until his return to Berlin on April 25.

Re: apreciate Opinions about this invitation Card
I agree with Max. A genuine card would have read "Führer und REICHSkanzler".

The Reichsadler looks a bit funny too. I'm no expert but I don't think I have ever seen that version of the bird, with feathers elegantly spread like that, on any official document of the Third Reich.
Then there is the curiously "democratic" phrasing. "... das Abendessen bei ihm einnehmen zu wollen" ???
The equivalent is English would be "to drop in and share a bite", or something similar. Even if it wasn't a big diplomatic dinner, you'd expect something a bit more formal from the office of the Reichskanzler.

Commonly seen on Hitler personal stationery.Knouterer wrote:The Reichsadler looks a bit funny too. I'm no expert but I don't think I have ever seen that version of the bird, with feathers elegantly spread like that, on any official document of the Third Reich.
However, the one on the invitation card appears to be slightly out of line with the top of the card.

Re: apreciate Opinions about this invitation Card
Max is right. Dr and major university rank are always mentionned. Here a (true) invitation to compare headline and guess titles

The last reply just confirm the fake of the item.
After 1935 the eagle logo face to left. This dated 1942??? Still facing right
That prove faker use original card used before 1935 , value blank probably $20, and filled with prominent name and date.

Re: apreciate Opinions about this invitation Card
Not true, I'm afraid. I have a genuine Hitler correspondence card to Frau Braun dated well after 1935. The eagle is the same as in my image posted above.ihoyos wrote:The last reply just confirm the fake of the item.

More genuine Hitler stationery dated post-1935.

Re: apreciate Opinions about this invitation Card
They are fake. Our local shop picked up a grouping that included four or five or the first invitations in blank. They were purchased by the assembler of the grouping from the 1990s through a few years ago. Like new condition.

Not quite right. He was in Berlin 15/16 March 1942. He spoke at the Zeughaus on Heldengedenktag 15 March.Helly Angel wrote:I was checking in "Hitler proyect Meetings" here:
