Who is this Gruppenführer?

He is not SA but NSFK-Gruppenführer Alfred Krüger, the Stabsführer of the NSFK. Note the greyish/white lapels on the overcoat that denotes NSFK as well as the kepi eagle and the tip of the NSFK dagger.

Thank you Mark. I have to look at the differences in the uniform of SA / NSKK / NSFK members otherwise I will do still the same mistakes.

Interesting, I thought that Alfred Krüger was Führer der NSFK-Gruppe XVII Ostland in Wien!? And as such had the Rank of NSFK-Obergruppenführer.

Anyone have a bio on him? in which period was he Stabsführer des NSFK?

Halfdan:
Yes, Kruger was the first Stabsfuhrer of the NSFK BEFORE taking the XVII Gruppe. His was replaced by Sproleder as Stabsfuhrer. Kruger did become an Obergruppenfuhrer later on. I was only commenting on his rank and position relative to the photo in question. Sporleder was replaced late in the war as Stabsfuhrer by Arno Kehrberg.
