Is this SA Führer Heinrich Knickmann? I can recognize only Hess, gauleiter Florian and Fritz Weitzel in the photo.

"Does anyone know who these three SA men are? The name of the one without the hat escapes me, but am not sure on the other two."
Hi Pen,
Yes, the man immediately to Hitler's right was Wilhelm Schepmann, and the man seen between Schepmann and Hitler -- with goggles on his kepi -- was Max Jüttner. The event at which this famous photo was taken was a rally in Dortmund in 1932, when Hitler was campaigning for President. Dortmund is located in Gau Süd-Hannover-Braunschweig, though Gauleiter Bernhard Rust is not shown in this photo.

Hi Harmel,
good to hear from you...
I am afraid that von Ribbentrop is not in the photo...

I would say it's Heinrich Bennecke.

"Viktor Lutze would not be wearing SA Gruppenfuhrer collar tabs in a 1938 photo from the Fuhrerbau in Munich."
Of course that's true, Mark, since Lutze became SA-Stabschef on June 30, 1934. But where does it say that that photo was taken in 1938...??

Re: Request for Identification: NSDAP, SA, NSKK, NSFK, RAD, HJ, usw.
Hello, James.
Lutze was promoted SA-Obergruppenführer on 1 January 1933. The pattern of insignia we see here did not exist in 1932, nor were color photos being taken of SA leaders in that year (as far as I know). The uniform style also did not exist at that time. Here is a comparison of the SA-Gruf. in the photo with an image of Raecke in Luftwaffe uniform (Lutze also appearing there). There is some basic resemblance to Lutze in the color photo by Hugo Jaeger, but it's most definitely not the SA-Stabschef. It's definitely Raecke.
Best wishes,
~ Mike
