Wolf -- those collar patches aren't Heer. Those were adopted as NSDAP distinctions of position to denote Gau-level leadership (I think) as a Gauleiter. Thus he's a gauleiter. Note that he's wearing his Party uniform.
btw, couldn't more of your posts not feature excess uniforms or insignia issues? It's OK, nothing againt you, ote the smiley. I did help you after all. :) Cheers.

Could someone tell me which medal he wears round his neck?
This is the Cross of Merit, 1896-1918, from the Principality of Waldeck, it could be either the first or second class, the officer's cross was worn much like the EKI, the III and IV class worn on a ribbon.

Hi David
Many thanks for posting the Pic's, excellent do you happen to have one of Speer? of all the one I found most intristing was Hess even though it was a Black and white photo the blueness of his eyes is very apparent

According to Ronald M. Smelser, [ROBERT LEY : HITLER'S LABOR FRONT LEADER, Berg, Oxford / N.Y.C. / Hamburg, 1988, p. 245] Ferd. Schramm was Landeshandwerksmeister of Schleswig-Holstein when Göring secured his appointment as Reichshandwerksmeister. This was a set-back to Dr. Ley, as Schramm was a follower of Othmar Spann’s corporativist ideas of state capitalism, and this was at odds with Ley’s own rather paternalistic pseudo-socialistic ideas.

Nice pic of Paula Siber, so she was the deputy womens leader of the Frauenwerks, I assume that she mainly ran things and just passed relevant work on to Gertrud Scholtz-Klink as I believe she was the Fuhrerin of the NS-F, the Frauenwerk and also the womens branch of the DAF?
Also in the wartime wasn't she leader of the womens branch of the Red Cross?

Great Pictures.
I couldn't help but noticing however.
In the book The Devil's Disciples, author Read quotes Count Ciano as making caustic remarks about Ribbentrop around 1938 when the Italians were not nearly as anxious for armed battle as Ribbentrop's threats seemed.
Author Read says that Count Ciano observed ... anyone could tell Ribbentrop had a small brain because his head was so small.

That's quite a ribbon bar he has. Can anyone flesh it out for us?
