Re: RAD Generals
Do any members have any more information on Oberarbeitsfuhrer Maurer, Gau XXXI, this photo was taken in Huszlew, b. Biala ?
Re: RAD Generals
Oberarbeitsfuhrer Maurer with a sectional (Abschnitt) officer, any clues as to the identity of the other officer ?
Re: RAD Generals
Schinnerer makes a visit..
Re: RAD Generals
Not a Generalarbeitsfuhrer, but nonetheless a noteworthy individual, Arbeitsgau XXVII Baden, Gruppe 274, Arbeitsfuhrer Baumgartner
Re: RAD Generals
Difficult to read, sorry..."G. 5. 38,
Generalarbeitsführer
(Aumüller?) bei der Besichtigung"
Probably wrong, as always..., sorry...
(Sütterlin still a problem, like before...)
Grandfather wrote a mixture of Sütterlin and German, with his own claw, difficult to read, many of his writings on the back were never read...
The man wrote "quickly", the typical clerk's stallion.

Re: RAD Generals
A "Tintenpisser" was one of the terms at that time, an officer working in an office, not on the front...
A "stage stallion" so to speak, in the second row, whatever...
The designation "Tintenpisser" was still common in the 1960s and the 1970s, the "Hauptfeldwebel" was named a "Tintenpisser", german army slang.
The term was negative, not an award.

Re: RAD Generals
Glenn2438, I read the above photograph as 'Schmuckle', it made sense to me as the photo came with another picture of Hierl visiting Abt. 2/230, which of course is Arbeitsgau XXIII Thuringen, of which Schmuckle was the Generalarbeitfuhrer at that time, the second clue was that GAF Muller wore spectacles, the person in question is wearing none
Re: RAD Generals
I have boxes of new pics coming soon, in the meantime, could this be GAF Oswald ?
