What do you think became to these Prisoners Of War?. Were they liberated by the German Troops?. I think many of these Polish Home Army Soldiers got killed or captured by the Germans.

I heard German veterans say that on point of capture by US forces in 1945 they had their medals/badges and watches taken as souvenirs. I think Rudel's Knights Cross with Golden Oakleaves, Swords and Diamonds went that way from memory.

Yes, Altough he got his "High Hungarian Decoration/Medal" stolen from what I have heard. But I think some Germans also took loot/medals, badges ,watches, rings, boots, maybe sometimes a Colt 45. from the US G.I's.

Even my grandfather took Red star Pins off from the caps of Soviet soldiers, At the Eastern Front. And a wrist-watch from a Soviet Officer.

They were tidier at the point of capture and I saw shoulder boards being ripped off and then their heads were being shaved
It seems like some of them were forced to wear Hakenkreuz-Jumpsuits. 8O
