How many votes did Adolf Hitler get from NSDAP members?

Post by Quast » 28 Jan 2022 23:05

Hi,
I was reading about the NSDAP. I get this point and I need someone to explain/clear it for me.
His strategy proved successful; at a special party congress on 29 July 1921, he replaced Drexler as party chairman by a vote of 533 to 1.The committee was dissolved, and Hitler was granted nearly absolute powers as the party's sole leader.

Following an intraparty dispute, Hitler angrily tendered his resignation on 11 July 1921. Drexler and the members of the party's governing committee realised that the resignation of their leading public figure and speaker would mean the end of the party. So Dietrich Eckart was asked by the Party leadership to speak with Hitler and relay the conditions in which he would agree to return. Hitler announced he would rejoin the party on the condition that he would replace Drexler as party chairman, with dictatorial powers and the title of "Führer", and that the party headquarters would remain in Munich. The committee agreed and he rejoined the party as member 3,680.

Does the party set election for Adolf when rejoin? The total members of the party was 534?
