He was not in the SA after 1931. His name is not in the SA-Führerbefehle.

Hello Andreas,
Are you sure that there are not 2 Lohbecks? The info that I posted supposedly came from his SA file at the US National Archives. I meant to type, of course, born 1894. He was listed as a gold party badge winner, etc.

Thanks Andreas and Phil--Andreas, when will your book come out? Put me down for a copy! Was Lohbeck attached to the OSAF? Do you have a photo of him? Did he do anything interesting?
Thanks!
Erich

Hello, Erich.

A lot of work remains to be done on our book, which will simply be titled Leaders of the SA, NSKK, and NSFK, Volume I (Stabschef & Korpsführer, Obergruppenführer, and Gruppenführer). Publisher will be Roger J. Bender. I anticipate it will be ready for publication in approximately 1.5 to 2 years. In the meantime, contributions of photos and data are eagerly accepted and will be fully acknowledged. Photoscans may be sent to [email protected].

Thanks very much for your interest.

Sincerely,
~ Mike Miller

Hi Mike,

A while back I was told the Eduard Ritter von Schleich was at one point a leader within the NSFK, but I haven't found any original documents (other then a yearbook) to substantiate this. Does your research thus far confirm or deny this?

best regards,

Darren

Schleich was:
01.10.1931 - 15.04.1933 Führer der SS-Fliegerstaffel Süd,
15.04.1933 - 30.11.1934 Leiter der fliegerischen Ertüchtigung der HJ,
01.12.1934 - 19.04.1935 Führer der Landesgruppe XI (Thüringen) des Deutschen Luftsportverbandes (DLV).
