Here's a little more information about Franz Pisarik: He held NSDAP Membership Number 899828; his membership was processed on February 1, 1932, among the group of applications which included Adolf Eichmann -- this does not indicate that he knew Eichmann, just that their Party applications were processed by the National Treasurer's Office on the same day, among many other documents. The only edition of the SS-Dienstsaltersliste -- the list of SS officers -- in which Pisarik appears is that of December 1, 1938, which lists him as holding the rank of SS-Hauptsturmführer, to which he was promoted on March 17, 1938. Pisarik was also a member of the Lebensborn Association.
Franz Pisarik was indeed a recipient of the Blood Order, 2nd Issue; he received it among many other Austrians on the award list dated December 7, 1939. There is no notation as to the specific reason for his reception of this most prestigeous award, though '2nd Issue' recipients were not present for the events of the 'Beerhall Putsch' of November 8/9, 1923 -- at which time Pisarik was only eleven years of age -- but Austrians who were active in the local chapters of the NSDAP were occasionally recognized with the 2nd Issue of the Blood Order.
I hope this information is helpful to you. Prosit,
Br. James
