Dr. Georg Leibbrandt; Request for information about
This is a humble request for biographical information on Dr. Georg Leibbrandt (1899 - 1982), who was in attendance at the Wannsee Conference representing the Eastern Territories. My primary interest is in his post-war life. Several questions I have include:
1930's
When Dr. Leibbrandt lived in America, was he studying in a University? If so, which University did he attend? What I have read suggests Dr. Alfred Rosenberg contacted Dr. Leibbrandt and asked him to return to Germany and join the Nazi party (a request which Dr. Leibbrandt accepted in 1933). How did Dr. Rosenberg come to know of Dr. Leibbrandt, to begin with?
WWII
For what reasons did Dr. Leibbrandt resign from the Eastern Ministry and join the Kreigsmarine in 1943? Once accepted in the Navy, what rank was he commisioned? What vessel(s) did he serve aboard? Did he serve in any combat missions?
Post-WWII
I am grateful for any detailed information regarding Dr. Leibbrandt's life between 1945 - 1982.
General questions:
Has an autobiography or biography of Dr. Leibbrandt been published?
Are any of the books Dr. Leibbrandt published regarding Volga Germans still in print?
(Diaspora groups is a subject I have much interest in)

Dr. Georg Liebbrandt
From what I read Georg resigned from his position as Oberberreichsleiter because he opposed the Nazi policies in the eastern territories.
Georg was able to travel to the US in the thirties because he was awarded a Rockefeller Fellowship.
Georg came from the same area as my family, i.e., Hoffnungstal, and was well known in the area. On a personel note, he got my grandfather out of a German prison camp and after the war told my family where to settle in Germany to avoid being trapped in the Soviet Sector.

Re: Dr. Georg Leibbrandt; Request for information about
It is interesting to know how many stars were
in Leibbrandt's collar tabs.
He was ministerialdirektor and hauptabteilungsleiter
According to letter of Alfred Rosenberg
ministerialdirektor wore 2 stars and
hauptabteilungsleiter wore 3 stars
