helly were and what is the name of castle in above prints, was it or did it become a ss order castle? the ice capped peaks in the background make me think its close to the austrian border? thanks for great photos.

Uniforms Not so uniform.
In the HJ there were precise rules to standardize. The uniform outward appearance was intended to express the "national community." At the same time, the badges on the uniforms clarified the strictly hierarchical structure of the organization.
However, uniformity was not as uniform as the Reich Youth Leadership wanted. Many parents lacked the money, others the will to buy the right equipment.

- In the spring of 1934, a march took place in Brühl as part of a great demonstration of the HJ. Not all BDM girls wore the right uniform.......................

- Even in November 1936, in Brühler Jungvolk, some "Pimpfe" (German nickname for children prior to the change of voice) still had no uniform and appeared in civilian clothes for the service.....................
