The only famous name I noticed was Gauleiter Dr. Alfred Meyer # 28,738. I also noticed that a few of the numbers were over 100,000 Could some one please explain this? Does anyone know if lists of Gold Party Badge recipients were kept by the other Gau's? If yes, then where would one find such information? I am not into the Golden Party Badge thing, so I cannot give an explanation for the post-100,000 numbers, but I know of at least a list of Golden Party Badge recipients of the Gau Westfalen-Süd (which is far more extensive than the one available for Westfalen-Nord). I will post this list together with other information as soon as possible; I am lacking time at the moment... (Latin knowledge has to be achieved *somehow* )

Because of the numbers over 100,000 I thought the list was of Gau Ehrenzeichen holders and not the Goldenes Parteiabzeichen (as it should be called)? I checked again and found the names over 100,000 were hodlers of the special AH presentation Gold Party Badge..

hi all, first post on this section!, whilst reading this thread i noticed something. i used to be in the royal air force and served two tours in germany, laarbruch and bruggen. having served in the area covered partly by this gau, i see a lot of the town/district names are immediately recognisable as british garrison towns post war, paderborn, munster, herford etc etc. is this coincidence?,did they simply have the barracks needed and the british army could move straight in? or was there a policy to station troops in towns which had had direct links to the sa/nsdap?. i know it`s off topic slightly, but i would like any information to satisfy my curiosity.thanks in advance, steve.
