I believe the question is important because being monorchic would have a profound effect upon the psychology of anyone. Imagine the fear of nakedness and discovery, the profound embarrassment that would accompany any attempt at sexual intimacy, the nagging feelings of inadequacy for being only "half-a-man." Keep in mind too that Hitler grew up in a day and age where sexual matters were not discussed with anything like the openness we have today, sexual ignorance was widespread, and where those who were not sexually normal were ostracised. The effect must have been profound!von Schriek wrote:one ball.. two balls.. so wot?

look alike
I am perfectly aware that the Red Army first found Hitler's lookalike's body but Marshall Jukov was not fooled. This is the main point of my argument. People since the end of WWII have discarded these findings on the assumption that soviet forensics worked on Hitler's lokalike's body. This is contemptuous for the cunning intelligence of the soviet troups who knew perfectly the existence of this guy and what the Nazis were up to.
So Jukhov ordered other diggings to be made and eventually they discovered the bodies of Eva and Adolf. There were 2 bodies. So if one of the body is not Hitler's body, who is the body of that charred woman found with the pretended "double" of Hitler ? His mistress ? Does not sound serious to me.... On top of that, the teeth they found in the jaw of the supposed lookalike matched perfectly Hitler's dental records which were provided by his dentist called in by the Soviets. The Soviets were no fools and they did a great job of making sure that this charred body was Hitler's. I really wonder why people can not simply admit it...

I find the following wholly convincing:
I realise, however, that this is totally implausible, and that it makes much more sense to assume that it was Hitler's infamous Third Double who was found outside the Bunker, and his Second Double who ordered the Holocaust. The real Adolf, poor fellow, knew nothing about that …“The Psychopathic God: Adolf Hitler” by Robert G.L. Waite, Basic Books, N.Y.C., 1977, pp. 150 - 152 wrote:
Before pursuing the matter any further, it would be well to establish the identity of the corpse the Russians examined. Positive identification could not be made only after comparing Soviet evidence of the teeth of their cadaver with the X-rays, diagrams, and pictures of Hitler’s head and teeth which were found after the war by U.S. authorities in the files of Hitler’s doctors and his dentist, a 1911 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Dental School named Hugo Johannes Blaschke. Werner Maser, who is sometimes considered the world’s leading authority on details of Hitler’s life and who claimed to have special knowledge of the dental evidence, was confident that the Soviet Autopsy was fraudulent. Hugh Trevor-Roper of Oxford joined him in ridiculing its findings [Footnote: See Maser’s letters to the editor of Die Zeit, 21 December 1971, 29 February 1972, and his biography, Hitler, p. 346-350; Trevor-Roper, Sunday Times (London), 18 February, 1973.] But after investigating claims and counter-claims, West Germany’s distinguished newspaper Die Zeit concluded in 1972 that Maser and Trevor-Roper were mistaken and that the Russians were correct: the teeth of their corpse were indeed the teeth of Adolf Hitler. [Footnote: Detailed discussion, pictures of the evidence, testimony, letters to the editor, rejoinders, and rebuttals are given in Die Zeit, 7 December 1971, 21 December 1971, 29 February 1972.]
The conclusion has been independently verified by American and Norwegian specialists in dental medicine. Writing in professional journals, they set forth the evidence, showed conclusively that Maser misrepresented the facts, and affirmed that the teeth in question belonged to Hitler. An American dentist who was formerly a captain in the U.S. Army, and who had access to evidence produced by interrogations of Dr. Blaschke in 1945/46, concluded: “There is no reason to doubt the present Russian story that the identification of Hitler’s remains was successfully made on the basis of dental records.“ [Footnote: Elsworth K. Kelly, D.D.S., in Journal of California Dental Association, 41, (1965): 424-425.]
The most authoritative and detailed examination of the evidence, however, has been made by a Norwegian-American team of specialist in odontology. With meticulous professional care they have gone over all the extant roentgenological, diagrammatic, and descriptive documents from Hitler’s files now in the U.S. National Archives and compared these data “tooth by tooth” with the photographic, diagrammatic, and descriptive autopsy data released by the Soviets. Their findings are clear and important:
“The individual identified by means of the Hitler files located in the U.S. National Archives … is the same person as that of the 1945 autopsy report published in 1968 on the basis of the previously unknown documents from Soviet Archives of 1945” [Footnote: Reidar F. Sognnaes and Ferdinand Ström, “The Odontological Identification of Adolf Hitler: Definitive Documentation by X-rays, Interrogations and Autopsy Findings,” Acta Odontologica Scandinavica 31 (1973): 43-69.]
Two conclusions thus seem incontrovertible: the body on which the soviet pathologists performed the autopsy was that of Adolf Hitler; and that the left testicle was missing.

Kershaw did write about Hitler's sexuality, and at some length (ppgs 351-355 in his 1889-1936 vol.) when describing his relationship with Geli Raubal. But he does admit there is no evideince for Hitler having had sexual relations with any woman. However, his relationship with Raubal was so tempestuous, so contolling, so ridden with jealous domination, that it is inconceivable to me that he didn't have a sexual relationship with her--albeit, perhaps a strange one.Charlemagne wrote:_____________________________________________________________Source for that statement ? Hitler never had any sexual relations with women. Its remarkable, how much nonsense is written here in the last time.
Maybe we should start with a source for you're amazing statement. Are you privvy to secret documents unknown to the rest of us :
I guess it's not my matter to bring up evidence, but yours, because some people here want to bring proof for a sexual relation of Hitler. Neither the famous historians like Maser, Fest or Kershew nor any other serious men have ever spoken or written about that, but its a sport for some people to permantly post rumours.
So, if you make statements or a thread concerning this topic, do us a favor and bring evidence.
And let us not forget the ever stonger claims that he was a closet homosexual. (Dam--I can't find the book. Does anyone have the name of it?)

These are not trivial matters. Sexuality is a central aspect of personality. Look at the difference between Röhm (exuberantly brutal in his sexuality) and Himmler (profoundly repressed) and you can see the difference between the SA and SS in a nut-shell. Is not Heydrich's callous brutality towards women emblematic of his crass amoral opportunism? Was not Roßbach's ability to lead men a by-product of his immense sexual charisma? Is there nothing to it that Hess was called "Frau Hitler," when his fawning devotion to Hitler was greater than that to his family? Ultimately, it is difficult to imagine a sexually normal Hitler perpetrating the monstrous enormity of the Final Solution. The accusations made by Otto Strasser about Hitler's sexuality are all too explicable in light of his behaviour during the war and are thus central to any analysis of his personality and motivations.Roderick wrote:Guys, What is the difference …

The British always make fun of their enemies.

Many of our serious scholars would disagree with you. I, for one, find the case for Hitler having monorchism wholly convincing.kaisertum wrote:But our Führer did actually have two.
