Does anyone know if Hewel had any children? It might be difficult since he was married less than a year.

The man had good taste in women, at least in the looks dept....I think Hitler once tried to play "match-maker" with him and Gretl Braun or him with one of his secretaries.

Hewel was single till 1944.
He got a crash in an airplane. The general Hube was killed in the crash but Hewel survived.
He was wounded badly and had to recover in hospital. During his stay he met the nurse called Elizabeth and they fell in love together.

That's how the single man Hewel finally married in 1944, and Hitler had nothing to do with that (all his previous attemps failed).

What a beautiful story !

Unfortunately, the love was weaker than Hewel's faith in Hitler who made him swear to kill himself, what we did.

Blanda Elisabeth Sophie Jeanette Margarete (Ludwig) Benteler (1921 - abt. 2008)

Born 6 Dec 1921 in Osnabrück, Germanymap
Daughter of Alfred Ewald Kurt Ludwig and Ilse Blanda Elisabeth Ladiges

Wife of Walter Hewel — married 12 Jul 1944 (to 2 May 1945) in Salzburg, Austriamap
Wife of Erich Benteler — married 10 Apr 1952 [location unknown]
Mother of [private son (1950s - unknown)]
Died about 2008 in Bielefeld, Bielefeld, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germanymap
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Ludwig-1290

It is said that they married in Salzburg.
Elisabeth herself told to David Irving the 8 december 1970 (here https://www.ifz-muenchen.de/archiv/zs/zs-2241.pdf) that she married in Schloss Blessheim (as far as i can read).

So she married in Salzburg, in the castle of Blessheim.

That would be Schloss Klessheim.
