Post war Deutsches opinions in west Germany
Re: Post war Deutsches opinions in west Germany
Good morning Gjiyll,
a very complexe question, let us start with another link to the german Wikipedia:
"List of former NSDAP members who were politically active after May 1945"
Link: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_ehe ... ätig_waren
Probably this Wikipedia article is only available in german language, but it is an approach to this topic.

My grandfather joined the NSDAP in 1937, after 1945 he joined the DP (Deutsche Partei), later a member of the
Gesamtdeutsche Partei (GDP), and changed to the CDU (Christlich Demokratische Union) in the early 1960s.
* A german Nationalist, arch-conservative, joined the NSDAP in 1937 as an officer on the RAD, classified as a "follower" after 1945,
a german career, 1906-1967, very typical for those years.

Yep, many were classified as *follower* to stem any future reprisals from Allies, even though the Allies were the ones to comeup with this solution that worded out well for all post war. Very common ,
