Hitler praying :o
I see no reason to consider Hitler as somehow ridiculous, history forbids such a thing.

It would have been better, to capture the man while he was still alive, not to take revenge, no, just to analyze this man and his confused thinking.

Killing oneself, that speaks for the perpetrators of that time, not only for Hitler, all that speaks volumes, that probably can never be closed...

That is the real topic of this forum, ultimately.

It's all nonsense.

I have dozens of handwritten documents, in which my grandfather tried to justify himself after 1945.

The man was thoroughly infected with the Nazi mindset, it fit into his ignorant concept of life, he didn't know any better.

And as I write this today, I'm reliving those early years in the 1920s, and the 1930s.
The home-loving young man in search of closeness, community, affection, even comradeship.

It is difficult to understand, to comprehend the conditions of that time, the very many letters, these spoke a liberal language of a young man.
No later career under the regime of the National Socialists, which the grandfather actively supported, until the end.

Today, I am heartily sorry that my grandfather had to grow up like that, but all that corresponded to his attitude, which did not fall from a sky....

The old gentleman would not understand today's world anymore.
