There are some images from a booklet about the "liberation" of the Saar by Nazi Germany in 1935, th efirst stamp is from my collection, I have the original.

I hope you enjoy this and remember this thread is just with historical interest and not political, I don´t know if the Saar is german.

Again, very interesting photos! :) I have one book from 1935 or 1936 called "Land und Leute an der Saar" (Countryside and People on the Saar) which is somwhere in between the scenic pictures from your "Die Saar im Bild" book and these propaganda pictures in this thread. I should scan it and add it here since we're on the subject.

On a side note, the Saar region (Saarland) is part of Germany --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saarland
