German POW escapes from England and the Granville Raid

Post by don1 » 07 Jan 2003 21:37

Does anyone know why more than 200 German POWs escaped or tried to escape from camps across the UK during March 10th and 11th, 1945? And was there any link to the Raid on Granville by German Channel Islands forces?
