What great mysteries of WWII
What great mysteries of WWII
Would you love to have answered before you die?
Mine would be as follows:
1-Who betrayed the members of the Secret Annex? This one has bugged me from the time I read her diary in 7th grade.
2-I want to know the absolute, 100% TRUTH about what happened to Raoul Wallenberg.

Just how complicit was Churchill in the affair between his daughter-in-law Pamela and Averell Harriman?

I've seen the History Channel documentary titles "Whatever Happened to Raoul Wallenberg", and it just seems that there were too many witnesses from inside the Soviet prison system who came forward and said he was still alive after 1947.oRion wrote:A quick search on google: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raoul_Wallenbergladycplum wrote: 2-I want to know the absolute, 100% TRUTH about what happened to Raoul Wallenberg.

Just who was the woman found with Hermann Fegelein in #10 Bleibtreustrasse in the very last days of the war? Hitler knew that the bunker had been penetrated. Was Fegelein the source, and she the conduit of information to the British?
Re: What great mysteries of WWII
What REALLY happened at the Baugnez crossroads during the Battle of the Bulge, an exact step by step description.

I'd like to hear the full story of how the Fairy Flag of Dunveygan supposedly protected the members of the Clan Macloud in the BOB.

Another one that comes to my mind is the real story of Americans in Waffen SS and how many exactly served under the German flag throughout the war.

Re: What great mysteries of WWII
How far along were any Japanese plans (as opposed to orders) to carry out biological warfare (BW) attacks against the Americans?
There are reports of BW targeting of the American-held Marianas, Iwo Jima, and even a bubonic plague attack on the US west coast, by seaplanes carried in a submarine.
The BW research Unit 731, founded by General Ishii Shiro outside Harbin, Manchuria in the late 1930s, was notorious for its human experiments. There were other, smaller such units in major cities throughout occupied Asia that did similar work. Some of those in north and central China are partly understood. But what were those reported in Manila, Rangoon, Bangkok, and Saigon?
