Dear friends,
I would be very interested in information collected by those participating in this thread on life at the Ritz Hotel Paris especially immediately before and after liberation in 1944. Details on Hemingway's supposed liberation of the bar would be of particular interest, as well as the restaurant dining experience immediate the end of Nazi occupation of the city. And Prof. Lucchesa, if you are listening, I'd love your thoughts.
Thanks in advance for the help,
Joel B.

Hi Joel,
Hey, sorry I missed this and don't log on very often. If you're still looking, give a shout. I did come across some information about menus at the restaurant during the war, though I never looked into after the war. cheers TJ

The Ritz lodging doesn't care to discuss the WWII time frame. They are not extremely glad to have been Luftwafe central station Ritz, Kommandantur Meurice or Abwehr base camp Lutetia during WWII and to discover inward chronicles is troublesome.
