Exactly, Unity Mitford sought out Hitler in peacetime, supported his cause, advocated for peace between England and Germany. And, I've not found much in the way of evidence that she and Hitler were sexual intimates, though it's certainly possible.

To me, that's far different than young Corporal (or Private) Hitler having an affair with a Frenchwoman during wartime. He was not known to be sexually promiscuous during this time and the French were the Germans enemies. Maybe other German soldiers might have cavorted with the French, but Hitler's views were so narrow that I find it hard to believe that he did.

I don't say it's impossible, it just seems unlikely.
