Hi
I´m going to Crete soon on holiday and wonder if some of you guys have some tips of ww2 related sites to see. I know about the allied and FJ graveyards and "the eagle" monument. But are ther some more sites???
Regards
Crete
Re: Crete
1. Buy Tim Saunders' Battleground Europe guide
2. Explore and download the Australian and New Zealand official histories which are quite detailed.
PS try startign future threads in the most appropriate sub forum.

Re: Crete
This comes late... Hope you did visited the Malame German Graveyard. Allied graveyard is in the end of Suda Bay. The German one is quite awesome if one can use that word...
There is a maritime museum with ww2 related artefacts in Chania old harbour. I have also visited German build tunnels (museum) in Platanias and the Resistance museum in Therisso. Maritime museum is ok, but maybe there is no great need to bother either of the other two. Road to Therisso (gorge) was quite nice.
