can anyone enlighten me on what happened to men from the German armed forces who lost a limb in WWII? Specifically, one leg. Was there a programme of rehabilitation, did any of these men return to the front lines? How deeply did the high command look into helping these men and their recovery? I have lots of nice photos of what looks like a sports day for injured men (all minus one leg). Events include long jump, and playing football (with crutches). Spectators include officers, doctors and nurses, what looks like civilians taking notes and also film camera men from a PK.

There were no rehabilitation programs for amputee soldiers in Nazi Germany that I know of.
I'd like to see some of these pictures, if you don't mind, They might be helpful.
