There have been no replies for a month, so can you give the answer to your question?

I'll post a slightly unusual question:

Which village on the East Sussex coast was evacuated and demolished in mid-1940 so that the nearby beach could be fortified to help defend any future German invasion?

As there have been no replies to my question, I'll give the answer.

The only dedicated training flying-boat to go into production in WW2 was the Aichi H9A:
