Hi Ovidius:

I remember you saying once, you threw away the book Fatherland because it looked more like the USSR than Germany. I would agree with this comment, but I also think the USSR and Germany had many things in common (which, I believe you disagree with).

I would appreciate it if, in your opinion, you could give me the differences and similarities between Nazi Germany and Stalinist USSR. Please make it as detailed as you can. I don't mean to pick a fight, it's just that you are one of the more knowledgeable on this topic in the forum and I would like to take advantage of that wealth of information.
